It's raining, part 2

Ok, this rain thing is really getting, um, attention-grabbing.  It's been going now for about two weeks.  And oftentime, it's rained really hard.  Is it worthy of the breathless reporting on the typical disaster level found on your evening news promos?  No.  However, it is causing a normally dry river bed nearby to be more than the  trickle it becomes with a normal rainstorm.
